What SheerSky Is

SheerSky is a third-party client application for the AT Protocol social network (commonly known as Bluesky). SheerSky does not operate its own servers or store your social data — your account and content are hosted by your AT Protocol hosting provider (typically bsky.social).

Data We Collect

SheerSky collects minimal data necessary for the app to function:

• Account credentials: Your login token is stored securely on your device (iOS Keychain). We never see or store your password.
• App preferences: Settings like theme, font size, and feed preferences are stored locally on your device.
• Crash reports: Anonymous crash data may be collected to improve app stability. This data contains no personally identifiable information.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not collect analytics about your usage patterns
• We do not share any data with third-party advertisers
• We do not sell your data to anyone

Network Data

When you use SheerSky, the app communicates directly with AT Protocol services (such as bsky.social) to fetch and display your feeds, posts, and messages. This communication is governed by your hosting provider's privacy policy. SheerSky does not proxy, store, or inspect this traffic.

Third-Party Services

SheerSky connects to the following services:

• AT Protocol services (e.g., bsky.social) — for your social data, governed by their privacy policies
• AT Protocol moderation services — for content labeling and reporting

Your Rights

You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. This is handled by your AT Protocol hosting provider. You can also uninstall SheerSky at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

SheerSky requires users to be at least 13 years old, enforced during account creation. Users under 18 have restricted access to adult content settings on iOS.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
